Welcome to Lindscapes by Lindsay!

Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.  — Omar Khayyam

Hello and welcome to my lifestyle blog, Lindscapes !! I’m Lindsay–your typical college girl who loves the finer things in life ++ aka memes and the (occasional) Moscato.  I’m a graphic design major at Bowling Green State University where I can be found in the Fine Arts building doing what I love every day. I decided to create this blog to share with you all my passion for art, beauty, health/wellness + lots of self love. I hope you enjoy the ride ++ maybe even learn something along the way 🙂

Life Update

So… it’s been a while. Since the last time I’ve posted, I have submitted my portfolio + been officially accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Bowling Green State University for graphic design; I was offered (+ I accepted!) a job on campus as a student writer for marketing & communications, specifically athletics; I’ve continued eating (relatively) healthy and living an (again, relatively) active lifestyle + lost a total of around 30 pounds! It’s safe to say my life is constantly changing, except for the few constants I can always count on—my amazing boyfriend, friends, + family.

With all of these changes, in addition to moving back home for the summer, I found myself falling into a weird funk. There are many people out there who don’t believe in “resolutions” for the new year, and I’ll admit the idea is a tad clichéd. To me, it’s the thought behind it that counts + that’s a really refreshing idea for me. It’s December (or at least, pretend it is) the winter weather is brutal, all you want to do is curl up in your pj’s 24/7, exams are around the corner along with a few exhausting family Christmas parties (you know, the ones with the nosy relatives)—I don’t know about you, but the prospect of ringing in the new year with a little added motivation doesn’t sound so bad. Sometimes we need that little kick to get us through the rest of the winter ++ that’s okay! Whether it’s the new year, a new semester, a new job, or new hobby— any reason you get you up and out of bed is a good reason ++ one to be proud of, not ashamed of!
